AIR QUALITY ENGINEER ENVIRONMENTAL LAB, JUBAIL BASIC FUNCTION: General consultancy on all matters related to air quality management and compliance. Technical lead for site inspections related to witnessing environmental monitoring. PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Assist the team in writing up the Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) studies and Baseline Surveys Reports.
Development and implementation of the FEMPs, OEMPs, CEMPs, and DEMPs.
Travel for baseline surveys, monitoring, auditing, or meetings as required.
Undertake and supervise environmental monitoring (Air, Noise, Vibration) on site.
Ambient Air Quality Monitoring mobile stations and noise monitoring equipment.
Use tools and techniques such as computer modeling, statistical analysis, and chemical analysis to assess the level of pollution in the air.
Conduct air monitoring, sampling, and data analysis using specialized software and equipment.
Assist technical staff to calibrate air, noise, and vibration equipment.
Data validation, interpretation, and reporting as per US EPA, NCEC, RC, and IFC/WB standards.
Commissioning, maintenance, and operation of all Environmental Monitoring/Survey equipment.
Stack emission and fugitive emission monitoring.
Greenhouse gas inventorying and carbon footprint measuring and report preparation in accordance with RC regulation sustainability initiative (accreditation under ISO 14064).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, at least 5-7 years of air quality monitoring experience, including meteorological monitoring, data collection, validation and reporting, consulting experience or environmental engineering experience preferred.
Conversant with air pollution measurement and control equipment.
Knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental (OHSE) regulations and procedures.
Knowledge of safety and environment regulations followed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with experience of the environmental regulatory process within the petrochemical and oil refinery sectors preferably with the Royal Commission of Yanbu & Jubail in Saudi Arabia or similar.
Relevant computer proficiency, experience in using Microsoft Office tools and/or any relevant software.
