Job Purpose

Key Accountability Areas

1. Develop CNC programs for machining electrical components based on engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Optimize programs for efficiency, tool life, and production output.

1. Select appropriate cutting tools and ensure their proper setup in CNC machines.
2. Collaborate with the tooling and production teams to enhance machining processes.

1. Oversee the operation of CNC machines, ensuring they run efficiently and produce high-quality components.
2. Monitor machine parameters, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments as necessary.

1. Conduct regular inspections of machined components to ensure they meet or exceed specified tolerances and quality standards.
2. Implement quality control measures in CNC processes.

1. Collaborate with the materials and procurement teams to ensure the availability of required raw materials for machining.
2. Monitor and optimize material usage to minimize waste.

1. Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, tool setups, and production runs.
2. Generate comprehensive reports on machining activities, quality assessments, and any deviations from standards.

1. Ensure all CNC machining activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
2. Promote and enforce a safety-first culture within the CNC machining team.

1. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in CNC machining operations.
2. Implement changes to enhance productivity while maintaining high precision.

1. Provide training to CNC machine operators on new programs, techniques, and safety procedures.
2. Encourage ongoing skill development within the CNC machining team.

1. Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret and clarify design specifications.
2. Participate in design reviews to provide insights on manufacturability.
