Job Description Role Purpose: To ensure optimum operation, performance, security, integrity, and enhancement with business teams to ensure achievement of data center capacity. Key Accountabilities:

  1. Design & Deployment:
    1. Prepare plans for installation of data center according to requirements.
    2. Research new designs for an advanced data center.
    3. Maintain all business procedures associated with assets and capacity.
    4. Monitor all functional resources required for growth and ensure appropriate functioning.
    5. Coordinate with various departments and perform integration of critical systems into infrastructure.
    6. Monitor all Data Center functional projects and track appropriate progress.
  2. Reporting, Compliance, Security & Analysis:
    1. Assess the current systems architecture recommend solutions for improvement.
    2. Deliver required reports to close management and audit requirements.
    3. Assess performance of security risk assessments on DC technologies & facilities for information security processes.
  3. Storage & Backup Administration:
    1. Manage problems to fix root causes to proactively prevent recurrence.
    2. Advise best practices to ensure that customer's storage/backup solutions are working efficiently.
    3. Manage escalated customer issues and resolve them without further escalation.
    4. Troubleshoot storage, backup and restore failures on multiple platforms with varied configurations.
    5. Perform data restorations for servers, file systems, and databases.
    6. Install and configure backup applications on client servers.
    7. Improve current processes and exercise judgment in the decision-making process.
  4. Systems Management:
    1. Monitor end to end Bupa technology services, systems, networks, applications, and online services.
    2. Incident identification, logging, and service requests creation.
    3. Monitor Service desk tickets as per agreed operational and service levels agreements.
    4. Monitor and report technology services, systems, networks, applications, and online services interruptions.
    5. Perform patch run activities and ensure successful completion status.
    6. Support with Disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
    7. Maintains up-to-date documentation and workflows to assist in services.
    8. Create guidelines to produce forms, checklists, and templates required to perform Network Operations Center activities.
    9. Ensure all Network Operations Center activities and solutions are in compliance with company approved policies, applicable industry standards and best practices.

  1. CDCMP certification preferred
  2. DCOM certification preferred
  3. Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA Preferred
  4. Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP Preferred
  5. Solarwinds Certified Professional Preferred
  6. Commvault Certified Professional Preferred
  7. Cross knowledge with NetAPP Preferred
  8. ITIL
