Position We are currently seeking a Software Solution Developer to join our CAREL UK Subsidiary located in Chessington. The position offers an office-based work model . The Software Solution Developer role involves designing, developing, and testing applications for the HVACR market using CAREL programmable controls (PLC) and supervisory systems . The provided control solutions will aim to help CAREL customers (Manufacturers, System Integrators, Retail and Property owners, etc.) achieve high efficiency, connected, and sustainable solutions for cooling, heating, and ventilation in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Main Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and test software to program CAREL controllers to meet customer and market expectations
• Work on projects following various phases, from conception to feasibility analysis and subsequent development and testing, up to the finished project in a context with a strong “drive” for innovation
• Define detailed specifications and technical design
• Provide customer support on the adopted programming tools for application software maintenance and training

Requirements

• Education in Computer Science, Electronics, or an equivalent technical field.
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Knowledge of PLC programming languages such as ST, ladder logic, FBD.
• Knowledge of communication protocols : Modbus RTU, Modbus Ethernet, BACnet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, DeviceNet, ControlNet, etc.
• Ability to develop software in ST, Java, JavaScript, Python, C++
• Ability to develop web applications (HTML, JavaScript)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical specification
• Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase
• Ability to document requirements and specifications
• Knowledge or experience in thermodynamics or HVACR applications is preferred
• Good English proficiency requested to work with our teams all over the world.
