This position will be the first point of contact for specific high-profile clients for reservation needs. Delivering an exceptional service to clients is paramount, so this person will also be supporting the Market Sales Managers with the clients. Area of Responsibilities:
- Be the first face of the company to our high-profile clients and agents
- A high level of expertise is needed in managing the expectations and communications of the clients and agents in servicing and supporting their needs
- Ensuring all customers request and reservations are answered and reconfirmed in a timely manner
- Maintain all reservations for all services accurately in our reservation system - Reconfirm bookings with all suppliers internally and externally
- Manage bookings through online reservations system of selective partners
- Secure all bookings for requested services or provide suitable alternatives if we can’t confirm initial request
- Communicate any arrival irregularity to the partners and assist with in-house amendments
- Ensure a successful and smooth operation through reconfirming all bookings prior to arrival
- Advise availability and prepare offers including quotations and product descriptions if requested
- Attending to all calls of clients and suppliers
- Communicating with other departments internally for excursions, visas, ground handling, sales and accounts enquiries
- Yielding, through waiving cancellation charges and cancelling and re-booking reservations, plus manual booking of exclusive offers for other partners
- Reassure promotional rates are booked at the hotels and accounts is informed accordingly, in particular for exclusive offers (e.g. last minute clients)
- Forward confirmations and invoices to all partners (who are on auto-invoicing)
- Maximize revenue generation from the account being handle by the Travel consultant
- To be involved with the sales manager handling same accounts in developing strategic plans of these accounts
- Being accountable with the sales manager handling same accounts for revenue growth of these accounts
- Dealing directly with clients and negotiating with suppliers (if required)
- Develops and maintains own accounts through personal calls and correspondence
- Degree relating to Tourism
- At least 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in the UAE
- Destination management specialist
