Direct message the job poster from HALEYS Group Middle East Summary HALEYS Qatar is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to ensure high-quality standards in the manufacturing of steel structures and offshore containers . Success in this role means maintaining strict compliance with BS, ISO, ASME, API, and DNV standards , conducting Dimensional Verification & Visual Examinations, NDT and welding inspections , and preparing manufacturing documents and dossiers to meet regulatory and client requirements. The role requires proficiency in engineering design software to support fabrication and inspection processes, ensuring alignment with quality and safety standards. This position plays a vital role in maintaining product integrity and compliance while collaborating closely with the engineering and production teams. Responsibilities

Conduct material and welding inspections, NDT inspections, dimensional verifications and load testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Interpret and prepare engineering design drawings using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP2000, or STAAD Pro .
Develop and maintain manufacturing documents and dossiers , including WPS/PQRs, ITPs, and quality control reports.
Coordinate third-party inspections, client approvals, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) .
Identify and address non-conformities , implement corrective actions , and support continuous quality improvement.
Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in QA/QC within steel structure fabrication and offshore container manufacturing .
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, NDT inspections, and material verification .
CSWIP 3.1 certification or an equivalent welding inspection qualification .
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP2000, or STAAD Pro for design interpretation and quality verification.
Experience in preparing manufacturing documentation, dossiers, and compliance reports .
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate across departments.
Candidates in Qatar with a transferable visa are preferred.
