The opportunity - Te tūranga
In this role you will:- Work on a core enabling project of our transformation programme which is focussed on enhancing our data, analytics and AI capability to drive transformation of our processes and systems.
- Join our Programme team and work on the Data Change Project as a highly skilled Test Engineer.
- Be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the software testing, quality control and release, to ensure a seamless and successful outcome for the programme.
- Work in a fast-paced delivery environment and have proven experience in this.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in software testing, with experience of testing in the context of Data Platforms or Data Products preferred, including relational database concepts.
- A very strong technical background in building automation testing frameworks.
- Experience with the following testing types: Regression, Integration, Functional & Non-Functional, UAT.
- Have worked in a cloud data platform environment such as Databricks or Snowflake. An intermediary level of SQL or Python coding experience is nice to have.
- Experience with at least one test automation framework, and a track record of applying test automation at scale, including experience with Test Automation tools such as Selenium and Cucumber.
- Developed and maintained a comprehensive test strategy and plan; executed effective test cases/test scripts to ensure the reliability of data ingestion and transformation processes.
- Have been a quality gatekeeper ensuring all test cases are passed before going into production and performance test cases are executed.
- Work with Vendor teams to collaborate and agree on governance processes.
- Have conducted root cause analysis for defects and issues.
- Excellent communication skills, confidence to work independently and talk to stakeholders.
