Management Information Systems Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MIS Specialist/Manager to manage the financial data reporting and analysis processes within the Accounts department. The role focuses on designing and maintaining MIS systems, generating critical reports, and supporting data-driven decision-making to optimize financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial systems, and data visualization tools, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills. Key Responsibilities 1. MIS Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain robust MIS systems to support financial data analysis and reporting. Ensure accurate and timely collection, storage, and retrieval of financial data. Enhance existing MIS processes and reporting mechanisms to improve efficienc y. 2. Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports. Provide insights and trends by analyzing MIS reports, ensuring alignment with business goals. Track key financial KPIs, including revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitabili ty. 3. Support for Financial Operations: Assist in reconciling financial data with general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy. Collaborate with the accounts team to ensure smooth integration of MIS with financial operations. Work with auditors and management to provide data for compliance and decision-mak ing. 4. Process Automation & Improvements: Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline data management processes. Implement and maintain financial dashboards for real-time monito ring. 5. Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with finance, accounts, and IT teams to align MIS objectives with organizational goals. Present MIS findings and recommendations to senior management to aid strategic pla nning. Qualif ication: Semi qualified having 5-8 years of work experience in a good chartered accountant firm / industry in MIS department / accounts depa rtment.
