Te tūranga – The role

Our Senior Analysts are critical to the execution of Te Pūtea Matua’s supervisory engagement with regulated entities (deposit-takers and insurers) and includes compliance monitoring, analysis, and relationship management to ensure that regulatory requirements are being met.

As a Senior Analyst In Prudential Supervision, You Will

  • Assess prudential risks to deposit-takers or insurers, and implement strategies to mitigate those risks
  • Regularly engage with external stakeholders and act as a relationship manager
  • Implement and assist in the development of policy to promote financial stability

You are inquisitive, have an analytical mindset and are comfortable to probe further when things don’t look quite right. You’re an excellent communicator and understand the importance of building strong relationships with your stakeholders.

You’ll Also Bring

  • Experience working within a financial institution, supervisory authority, or related field, along with a tertiary qualification
  • A solid understanding of the New Zealand financial system, and the interactions between the economy, financial system and prudential regulation - or a desire to build this
  • A demonstrated ability to handle wide-ranging and complex information
  • A positive and collaborative approach
