Job Description: Business Head – Solar PowerGen BU Introduction: We are looking for a proactive and personnel to lead our Solar Power Generation team at Apollo Power Systems at Bangalore. The candidate will actively take ownership of the business unit, support business growth, and foster relationships with our clients. We offer competitive remuneration, benefits packages, and opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.  Your role • You will be dealing with prominent clients in the industry as well as real estate domain. • Bring in new clients for our organization while retaining the existing ones. • Conduct corporate presentations to prospective clients along with the sales team. • Work with other departments like marketing & projects team to maintain and boost customer experience. • Optimum utilization of resources / team management. • Customer Relationship Management • P&L for the solar BU • Guiding the execution team for effective project implementation. • Review of designs and obtaining customer / consultant approvals Your tasks • Go-NoGo decisions on the bids. • Qualifying leads generated by the marketing team and mapping out a down-funnel journey for every prospect along with sales team. • Periodic review of sales team. • Periodic business review with the management. • Scheduling and attending discovery calls, conducting product / services presentations, following up with existing clients. • Identifying new sales opportunities and initiating contact with the right prospects. • Reviewing sales reports and highlights on a daily / weekly basis. • Review of proposal margins before submission to customer. Required skills and qualifications • You need to have at least Fifteen (15) to Eighteen (18) years of experience working in a customer-facing role, managing P&L of similar type of units preferably in a senior position in a contracting organisation. • You have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with demonstrable knowledge of team management, customer management, sales techniques and strategies. • You have excellent interpersonal skills, research capabilities, and essential analytical capabilities. • You are fluent in Kannada, English and Hindi. Knowledge of other regional languages would be an added advantage. Preferred skills and qualifications • A degree or diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
