Description

AEA Designs needs a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Project Engineer with extensive experience in Interior fit-out with experience in the gulf in hospitality, retail, and residential sectors.
Experienced in working with MEP specialists and testing process of their works and familiar with consultant approvals for interior fit-out.
The Project Engineer is the project owner and is responsible for the complete project from A-Z and must coordinate with the different teams to get the project's needs.
Responsible for the project progress works and the daily duties and responsibilities of the teams and sub-contractors. Must ensure the work goes on as scheduled and find solutions for daily on-site issues.
Must have authority and presence to control the works on site and manage the laborers and subcontractors working on site.
Responsible for preparing reports of site progress and escalating issues beyond control.
Must have good knowledge of AutoCAD, detail drawing, and shop drawing with the ability to modify the plans if needed . Follow the drawing and ensure execution matches the detailed plans.
Essential to have the ability to measure and prepare a site survey when needed.
Must keep tabs on all workers entering and leaving the site daily, along with all materials that entered the site.
Essential to communicate with designers and consultants on-site and in the office, and give clear instructions to subcontractors and laborers.
Ability to follow process , form, and prepare all required reports daily , with excellent communication skills.
Good knowledge of MEP, woodwork, and finishes installation required. Also, knowledge of interior design is required.
Responsible for identifying snag works required and submitting a report of the rectifications required by subcontractors.
Should have contractual skills, knowledge of Variation and Extension of time claims with the client, and ability to respond to subcontractors' contractual letters, variations, and delays .
Should have planning skills to create the Project schedule planning and monitor it throughout the project till completion.
Familiar with Processes dealing with Consultants or Stakeholders to obtain necessary work permits .
Must have good skills in HSE requirements at the site.
Must have knowledge about the method of statement of different fit-out trades, including ITP procedures.
Knows well about the Handover procedure and prepares Project close-out documents.

Skills

Fast learner adapting to new processes.
Detail-oriented with a good understanding of high-end finishing.
Good AutoCAD skills.
Good knowledge of interior drawing and architectural detailing, along with interior shop drawings required.
MEP works understanding required.
Work experience in the gulf.
Excellent English speaking, writing, and reading skills.
Ability to follow process.
Good Arabic speaking and writing is a plus.
