Director of Sales The Director of Sales leads business development for all Del’s Pastry products. A natural people person, he/she works closely with the Executive Team to represent Del’s across all virtual or in-person platforms to ensure our brand remains stable in the marketplace. - Responsible for attracting and booking new business.
- Key accounts manager for clients over $1M in sales.
- CRM management.
- Works closely with the Executives to communicate new product launches into market.
- Creates and manages sales forecasts, and price lists.
- Directs positive employee relations within department and cross functionally.
- Work with external brokers.
- Integral in RFP process for new business.
- Negotiate pricing for wholesale buyers, retailers, food service and private label.
- Prepares sales and marketing plans, including competitive analysis.
- Conduct outside/inside sales calls, telephone solicitation and site inspections to build relationships and target businesses.
- Attend trade shows and generate new leads.
- Preparation of weekly reports and participation in daily, weekly, and quarterly meetings.
- Required to utilize GS1 system effectively.
- Ensure food safety remains high priority and is an ambassador for a food-safe culture
- Other duties as required.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in B2B sales within a food processing manufacturing or retail environment
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Minimum 5+ years of key accounts management experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of key employee management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or business administration required (MBA preferred).
- Moderate to advanced excel is an asset.
- Must have a valid G Drivers’ License and access to a vehicle.
- Must have no restrictions for US or International travel.
- Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Must be organized.
