Electrical Design Engineering Consultant

Job Description

• Draw and Design Electrical drawings (Power, lighting, lighting control, low current systems) 
• Perform the required calculation for Electrical works (Panel schedules, Voltage Drop, Short circuit, 
• Phase balance, Sizing of protection devices, Cables, and Trays). 
• Preparing full tender package. 
• Coordinating work with other members of the project team 
• Reviewing shop drawings for electrical systems. 
• Review material submittals and data sheets of electrical equipment in line with specifications and design documents.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. Experience:
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in electrical design within a consultancy or design-focused company.
• Proven experience in preparing detailed electrical designs and tender packages. Technical Skills:
• Proficient in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and ETAP.
• Strong knowledge of electrical calculations (e.g., short circuit, voltage drop, cable sizing, etc.).
• Familiarity with local codes and international standards (e.g., IEC, NFPA, BS, IEEE).
• Skilled in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and technical data sheets. Project Coordination:
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and effectively coordinate electrical designs with other project disciplines. Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and project team members.
