Job Responsibilities

1. Proactive, presentable, motivated team player, observant, and with initiative while performing duties.
2. Report directly to Cruise Supervisor.
3. Greet and escort customers to their tables and provide excellent customer service to guests.
4. Prepare proper table setup as per Xclusive standards; linens, silverware, glasses, napkins, centerpiece.
5. Maintain the table setting by clearing courses as completed, replacing utensils, refreshing water glasses, and dealing with spills.
6. Take and serve beverage orders.
7. Follow all relevant health department regulations (e.g., social distancing per table, sanitizing common areas).
8. Stay attentive to guest needs in the dining area.
9. Perform shift duties like delivering racks of cutleries and crockery, pre-bussing tables, wiping tables, and removing debris.
10. Follow health code standards regarding food handling.
11. Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, report any problems, and take full responsibility for maintaining cleanliness of the yacht inside & out and upper & lower deck, including all appliances and furniture.
12. Carry dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning and washing.
13. Dispose of trash from bins and containers.
14. Notify Captain / Cruise Supervisor of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
15. Treat every client as a VIP.
16. Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, and folding silverware.
17. Maintain calm with difficult customers.
18. Have the coordination to carry plates/trays without dropping anything.
19. Maintain a clean and organized working area.
20. Be knowledgeable about the food served on the buffet and its ingredients.
21. Monitor guest needs and promptly handle requests.
22. Control the buffet area and ensure that food is sufficient for guests, especially for large groups.
23. Present a professional appearance and mannerism.
24. Communicate effectively regarding guest queries on products and services when asked.
25. Assist fellow team members and other departments as necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
26. Maintain proper usage and storage of the company’s equipment.
27. Ensure constant communication between Captain and crew members during departure and arrival.
28. Have basic knowledge of emergency situations and act accordingly, applying knowledge from training (STCW).
29. Be knowledgeable about boat movement and assist when needed with lines and ropes.
