Sylvestre & Co., a leading North American, award-winning qualitative research agency, is seeking a Resident Storyteller to join our dynamic Montreal team. Role Overview As a Resident Storyteller, you'll play a crucial role in transforming qualitative research into engaging, impactful stories that resonate with our clients and drive business decisions. Working closely with our Insights Seekers, Moderators, and Anthropologists, you'll analyze qualitative fieldwork data, craft narratives, and bring insights to life through creative and strategic storytelling. All in all, this role is a blend of rational critical thinking and pattern recognition, paired with visual thinking and empathy. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with research teams to analyze qualitative data and identify key insights
- Craft compelling research reports that engage, provide clarity, and facilitate decision-making for our clients
- Develop innovative ways to present findings through a combination of narrative, visual design, and data visualization
- Work autonomously on projects while maintaining strong communication with team members
- Adapt and evolve storytelling approaches as research progresses, embracing the exploratory nature of qualitative research
- Contribute to the evolution of our analysis, storytelling, and design methodologies
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines consistently
- Exceptional critical thinking, analytical skills and delivering information through smart, effective business driving storytelling
- Creativity and a keen sense of aesthetics in design and presentation
- Curiosity about the world and a passion for connecting dots to make sense of complex information
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French
- Mastery of PowerPoint first and foremost, comfortable with other presentation tools
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment
- Adaptability and flexibility in approach as projects evolve
- Be fully bilingual (French and English),
- Have extremely strong written communication skills (in English especially),
- Have strong organizational skills,
- Have a background in Marketing (BComm/MBA), Communications (BA), Anthropology, Social Psychology, and/or Research (MSc)
