Job Description
- Conduct thorough pre-purchase inspections on used vehicles, including but not limited to:
- Engine and brake systems and suspension
- Electrical systems and diagnostics
- Vehicle body condition, including frame, exterior, and interior
- Tires, wheels, and alignment
- Fluid levels and potential leaks
- Provide detailed written reports on the findings, including photographic documentation of any issues found.
- Offer clear, objective, and professional advice regarding the overall condition of the vehicle.
- Test drive vehicles to assess drivability and detect any unusual sounds or issues.
- Perform necessary diagnostic tests using specialized automotive tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and timely report delivery to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with automotive technology, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, answering questions and providing explanations about the vehicle’s condition and potential repair needs.
- Maintain and organize inspection equipment, tools, and supplies.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, Mechanic, or similar role.
- Valid UAE driving license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair processes.
- Ability to perform both mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
- Experience with a wide range of vehicle makes and models, including passenger cars, SUVs, and light trucks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in automotive technology or a related field (e.g., ASE, City & Guilds).
- Experience in vehicle inspections or pre-purchase evaluations.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
- Knowledge of the UAE’s automotive market and regulations.
