Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist Location: Bodhi Mind Care Hospital, Coimbatore Reports To: Managing Director/Clinical Lead Role Summary: Bodhi Mind Care Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. Leveraging the UK model of multidisciplinary team (MDT) care, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and client-centered psychiatric care. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive environment that integrates biological, psychological, and social approaches to mental health treatment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Clinical Care Delivery

  • Conduct detailed psychiatric assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based treatments, including pharmacological interventions and psychotherapy.
  • Supervise and coordinate care across the MDT, including psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other professionals.
  • Ensure care plans address biological, psychological, and social needs, promoting holistic recovery.
2. Leadership and Team Collaboration
  • Lead MDT meetings to review patient progress and adapt care plans as needed.
  • Act as a mentor for junior clinicians and allied health professionals, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Provide clinical guidance and contribute to the professional development of the team.
3. Quality and Standards
  • Uphold the highest standards of clinical governance, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Drive innovation in care delivery, reflecting the UK model of psychiatric services.
4. Patient and Family Engagement
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and recovery pathways.
  • Involve families and carers in care planning where appropriate, ensuring a supportive recovery environment.
5. Community and Outreach
  • Collaborate with community partners and referral sources to ensure continuity of care.
  • Promote awareness of mental health through public engagement and educational initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Education: MBBS with an MD, MRCPsych or DNB in Psychiatry (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-specialization experience, preferably in a multidisciplinary team setup. UK experience or familiarity with the UK psychiatric care model is highly desirable.
  • Licensure: Valid registration with the Medical Council of India or equivalent.
