HR Commercial Business Partner – Sales & Marketing

Salary - up to 20,000 AED plus family schooling contribution, tickets/medical, based in RAK. Our client is a leading manufacturer in the world of FMCG with offices throughout the MENA region. They are creating a new HR Business Partner position for the Sales and Marketing department. This is an exciting role as you will be part of something new and be responsible for how the processes and systems are put into place. Key Areas of Responsibility:
  1. Cover between 75 and 100 staff based in UAE, PAK, Egypt, KSA (yet to join), Turkey, Africa, and India. This will require considerable travel at times, which can be last minute, so flexibility is essential. A passport that allows easy travel to these countries is necessary.
  2. Report to the HR Director and be based in RAK. For the first 6 months, it is imperative to work there to learn the business; after 6 months, there is flexibility to have 1 or 2 days a week in Dubai.
  3. Manage an entire business entity from an HR perspective on a regional scale.
  4. Oversee payroll for the different countries for their respective headcount.
  5. Establish HR policies and procedures, as many regions are relatively new, resembling a startup process for some countries.
  6. Ensure local contacts comply with local labour laws.
  7. Anticipate country issues like economy and politics and how they impact the office in terms of HR and general functioning, including inflation on salaries, civil unrest, and staff safety.
  8. Have a strong background in one of the following HR areas: Compensation and Benefits, Training and Development, or Recruitment.
Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have at least 6 years of experience in HR at a managerial level, having managed an entire business entity. A background from a commercial environment is preferred over manufacturing. You must be willing to work in RAK and travel at least 3 times per month. This will be a hands-on role, developing and implementing processes across the region. Excellent communication skills in English are essential to present ideas to teams, engage employees, and help manage the change process. Diplomacy with each team is crucial.
