Job Description

The role will be based in Cairo, Egypt managing a team for MEP measurement and MEP Bills of Quantities preparation supporting Middle East projects.

Responsibilities

Adhere to and implement Atkins Réalis internal HSE management system requirements and procedures for Atkins Réalis site team.
Adhere to project HSE requirements and implement this to Atkins Réalis team.
Monitor the compliance of all WSA staff with the applicable safety standards and company’s procedures and report any safety violations to the Project Manager.
Monitor, assess and report on Contractor and Sub Contractors HSE compliance with the project HSE requirements.
Immediately bring critical and outstanding safety issues to the attention of the Atkins Réalis PM.
Conduct and coordinate regular safety training for WSA staff.
Carry out daily site HSE tours with Contractor HSE staff and highlight findings.
Follow up with the Contractor on outstanding HSE issues.
Review and comment on the Contractors HSE Plans and risk assessments.
Develop and update Atkins Réalis HSE documents (the Safety File).
Conduct accident and incident investigations for Atkins Réalis staff.
Compile accident report and incident statistics.
Chair weekly safety meetings and report any outstanding safety issues.
Prepare and maintain Atkins Réalis HSE registers.
Report any accident on site immediately to Atkins Réalis KSA Health and Safety Manager.
Communicate and seek advice from Atkins Réalis KSA Health and Safety Manager as required.

Qualification & Certification

Minimum HSE qualifications with NEBOSH Diploma/IGC.
Lead auditor course (ISO45001 and ISO14001).
Professional membership from IIRSM/IOSH is preferred.
Engineering background with a minimum of 7 years of experience in power transmission.
Experience with Transco/DEWA projects.
IOSH certificate.
Experience in power and overhead line (OHL) – 400 KV.
Based in UAE.
