Main Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains overall operation of the Quality Department.
  2. Direct and plan the details of Inspections Standards, methods and procedures used by THC in complying with all applicable GACA regulations, manufacturer's specifications, and recommendations.
  3. Manage all inspections involving calibration and standards/procedures are traceable to the standards acceptable to GACA.
  4. Manage all Measuring and Test Equipment (MTE) requiring calibration are identified as such and are calibrated IAW standards and intervals acceptable to the GACA.
  5. Manage current records of MTE, their calibration/test status are maintained.
  6. Nominate and authorize the THC Inspectors.
  7. Issue stamps/authorizations to qualified Inspectors.
  8. Ensure a sufficient number of Inspectors are available for continuous quality control.
  9. Determine, as the final authority, the serviceability of an Aircraft/Engine/Component, at any level of inspections/tests including Return to Service.
  10. Design and develop inspection and risk assessment procedures to check the adherence to QMS.
  11. Investigate, report, and make recommendations in respect of lapses in quality.
  12. Monitor and track applicability and procedures of this GACA RS&QCM to the activities conducted at this repair station to ensure compliance with the GACAR Part 145 regulation.
Leadership:
  1. Monitor staff achievements, perform periodic performance appraisals, and provide guidance, coaching or training to direct subordinates in performing their delegated duties.
  2. Optimize the use of personal and team time/effort in carrying out assigned duties, to ensure work meets agreed standards for timeliness and quality.
  3. Ensure continuous monitoring of trends in the market and provide advice to management on potential initiatives.
  4. Support the execution of the overall strategic vision.
  5. Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to work and information.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. GACA/FAA/EASA certification.
Experience & Skills:
  1. 12+ years of maintenance experience on transport category aircraft including 4 years in a management capacity.
  2. Proven 5 years of experience in aviation quality role.
  3. General knowledge of GACARs with particular emphasis on Parts 121 and 145.
  4. Knowledge of quality functions and responsibilities.
  5. Comprehensive knowledge of flight and maintenance procedures, GACA inspection and reporting procedures, and laws and regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance in countries where company aircraft may be operated.
