Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the material process, including receiving, storing and ensuring accurate tracking of all materials, equipment and supplies.
  2. Manage the handling and storage of repair shop materials to maintain an organized workspace.
  3. Maintain accurate records of stock levels, orders and deliveries using SAP and internal records.
  4. Monitor material levels and place orders for supplies and parts as needed to prevent shortages.
  5. Generate reports on material status, turnover rates and discrepancies to shop management.
  6. Work closely with engineers and technicians to understand their material needs and ensure timely availability of parts.
  7. Identify opportunities for improving material processes and implementing best practices.
  8. Conduct regular material audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  9. Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Goods Receipts (GR) and other transactions in the SAP system as required.
  10. Communicate with the procurement team regarding ongoing PRs, material receiving and supplier selection based on cost, material availability, quality and lead time.
  11. Manage workshop stores, cabinets and storage areas to ensure that materials and consumables meet the supply plan for repairs.
  12. Manage spare parts, jigs and fixtures for all GT components and machines.
  13. Maintain records and costs of all consumables, spare parts, tools and materials for each project.
  14. Ensure that store activities comply with MPW standards and QHSE requirements.
  15. Work closely with the shop and QHSE teams to understand shop issues and implement cost-effective solutions that meet safety, cost, quality and delivery expectations.
  16. Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills while effectively communicating with shop management.
  17. Maintain a good understanding of QMS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  18. Maintain records of all audit documents to provide evidence and support audit conclusions and recommendations.
  19. Prepare and present clear and concise reports to the Factory Leader and Engineers summarizing materials consumed during each project.
  20. Read and understand material specifications, drawings, data sheets and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  21. Ensure the reliability and calibration of each equipment and tools in collaboration with the maintenance department and QHSE team.
  22. Coordinate and follow up with the maintenance team regarding all workshop assets and equipment.
  23. Report any maintenance issues with tools and equipment to the appropriate personnel.
  24. Manage scrap parts and the disposal of materials in accordance with company requirements.
  25. Comply with any designated tasks as required by factory management.
Additional Duties
  1. Perform additional duties to support the business as needed.
Skills
  1. Diploma in Technical College degree (Mechanical or similar discipline) or related field (preferred).
  2. 3 years of related experience.
  3. Understanding of Material Planning and Material Control.
  4. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
  5. Proven experience in material management, preferably in a repair shop or manufacturing environment.
  6. Competent in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project).
  7. Proficiency in SAP or similar material management software.
  8. Effectiveness in prioritizing assigned duties and evaluating the work of personnel.
  9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  10. Outstanding ability to interpret sketches, record, invoices and work orders to other personnel.
  11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  12. Knowledge of quality management systems and relevant ISO standards.
  13. Forklift operation experience is preferred.
  14. Understanding of health and safety issues, particularly related to workshop activities and chemical handling.
