The Opportunity We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our South African team to design and implement Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems on our projects. This role comprises a holistic HVAC consulting spectrum from inception, detail design, documentation and procurement, construction, site monitoring and project closeout. This role will comprise predominantly HVAC engineering services, while Wet Services and Fire Engineering Services experience will be viewed advantageously. We are looking for candidates who have an excellent understanding of South African National Standards (SANS), specifically pertaining to Ventilation, air/fluid/heat flow calculation software and analysis, and design experience based on client requirements and specifications. Is this role right for you? We are looking for people with:
- B Eng / BSc / B Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering with relevant experience
- Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng eligible for registration will be advantageous
- Proficient in Contractor and contract management (mechanical HVAC discipline)
- Proficient in formulation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ’s)
- Global standard understanding such as British Standards, ASHRAE, etc. will be advantageous
- Experience in various HVAC 3D modelling software and BIM conversant (Revit or similar, ACC, AutoCAD etc.)
