Head of Operations – Valet Parking & Car Park

Position: Head Of Operations Reports to: General Manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor degree required
  • Master's in Business Administration preferred

Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in parking management or a related technology-based industry.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing an operations team.

Skills

  • Familiarity with UAE Laws regarding Parking legislation
  • Delegation skills

  • Full computer literacy in Microsoft Office

Primary Functions

  • Deliver an excellent service to all clients on time, on budget and to specification.
  • Deliver exemplary standards of client services at all times. Seek out opportunities to further enhance current, and prospective, client experience.
  • Be responsible for the Operations function ensuring that all systems and processes adhere to best practice levels and are correctly aligned within operations, with other internal departments.
  • Lead all Operations departments, for car park, valet parking, and related support services.
  • Mastermind the delivery of new contracted facilities.
  • Contribute to the development of operations strategy. Working with individual Heads of Department to develop, evolve and enhance ZONE's Operational delivery.
  • Create a high performing operations team and foster talent management. In particular identify high potential individuals for succession planning, ensuring appropriate development plans are in place.
  • Ensure all team members have clear measurable objectives and structured performance reviews, 1 to 1s and team meetings.
  • Undertake rigorous financial control, setting departmental opex and capex budgets and managing P&Ls.
  • Develop, propose and implement strategies for change which will drive improved service and more effective control of costs.
  • Act as Incident Manager in Business Continuity Planning and be responsible for managing crisis preparedness.
  • Oversee valet parking operations, identify areas for improvement, minimize vehicle incidents, and strive for service excellence.
  • Participate as required in internal management forums.

  • Strong skills in internal networking and the ability to pool internal resources in order to achieve projects.
  • Strong skills in commercial negotiation, contract and supplier management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to lead and manage several diverse projects.
  • Ability to support staff during logistic set up and be ready to work hands on when required.
  • Strong service orientated attitude.
  • Have a strong work ethic and ability to work in a complex cultural and legal environment without breaking any local or corporate rule.
  • Be energetic, dynamic, enthusiastic and willing to travel.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of IT Office tools.
  • Experience in risk management/contingency planning.
