Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in Leeds! Position: Senior Structural Engineer, Building Design Salary: £40K - £50K (based on experience) Location: Leeds Are you a talented Senior Structural Engineer, Building Design looking for your next big career move? Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional to join their expanding team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of structural engineering projects across multiple sectors, including commercial, industrial, health, leisure, retail, and residential development. Senior Structural Engineer, Building Design Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership: Take charge of the structural design for diverse projects, primarily in the north of England, with occasional assignments across the UK.
- Technical Mastery: Apply your extensive knowledge of foundation and retaining wall designs, and proficiency in all structural materials.
- Software Skills: Utilize your expertise in TEKLA and TEDDS software to prepare comprehensive calculation packages.
- Inspection Expertise: Conduct detailed structural engineering inspections and prepare reports for various building types and structures.
- Additional Skills: Experience in 'Roads and Sewer' design and REVIT is advantageous but not essential.
- Qualifications: Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE) or close to achieving Chartered status, with the right to live and work in the UK.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of UK-based consultancy experience.
- Skills: Strong design and technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge: Up-to-date with current technical standards, including Eurocodes, and a solid understanding of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations.
- Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a design team.
- Client Interaction: Experience dealing with clients, architects, and project managers, and representing the company at meetings and site visits.
- Commitment: Dedication to continuous professional development and holding a full UK Driving Licence.
