Who You Are… Priority Worldwide is seeking a long-term, reliable Operations Supervisor with strong customer service and team building skills. Candidates must possess or be willing to learn all modes of international traffic including customs regulations, documentation preparation, and country regulations. Attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential qualities. Required Skills and Competencies:

  1. 5 years of Dubai experience in handling Import/Export shipments with a freight forwarder Knowledge of UAE Government regulations (ie. Customs clearance)
  2. Experience in the customs documentation processing and handling
  3. Experience working with Cargowise and Calogi strongly preferred
  4. Handling of Emersal 2 online and filing procedures
  5. Be able to work independently, multi-task, and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  6. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Computer skills and knowledge of Windows, MAC OSX, MS Office, etc.
  8. Sensitive to customer needs
  9. Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  10. Strong organizational skills
What you will do… In this role, the candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics and customs clearance process for imports and exports. They will handle email communications, prepare delivery orders, and coordinate the pickup and delivery of cargo. The job includes preparing quotations, negotiating rates with agents, carriers, and co-loaders, and processing import/export documentation. The candidate will also process these documents through the system, ensuring compliance, and providing updates to internal and external customers. General Responsibilities and job duties:
  1. Customs clearance, answering emails, preparing delivery orders and coordinating the pickup and delivery of cargo.
  2. Working with agents, carriers, and co-loaders to procure and negotiate rates.
  3. Receiving, reviewing, and processing import/export documentation for an assigned base of accounts.
  4. Processing documents through the system and interface and providing updates and communications for internal and external customers to produce timely and compliant transactions.
  5. Coordinating the release of goods from the carrier Customs, Ports or other governmental agency examinations that are required.
  6. Tracing & tracking of shipments and key transaction information such as HBL, commercial invoice, and other required documents.
  7. Coordinating shipments with consignees, shippers, brokers, transporters, suppliers, and carriers.
  8. Corresponding with overseas agents and clients.
  9. Working with steamship lines/airlines/trucking companies to obtain quotations and handle the movement of freight.
  10. Developing and maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Benefits and Compensation Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
  1. Monthly Salary Range: AED 5,000-AED 10,000, depending on experience
