In this role you will product manage our Enterprise Document Management systems and capability, enabling Kiwibank teams to increase productivity, reduce risk and focus on delivering both internal and external customer outcomes. As a Product Manager, you will advocate for business and technical capabilities, frame problems with stakeholders, align to enterprise priorities and take responsibility for the product roadmap. In this role, you will also need to work closely with key vendors. You will also be responsible for facilitating and supporting our ways of working as well as promoting our team culture within the squads. Day to day this could include:
  • Lead product model thinking from a long-term view for your product, but also near-term strategic (and potentially tactical) solutions.
  • Find common ground and alignment with key stakeholders, hub leads, and other product managers while delivering on the product roadmap.
  • Develop enduring relationships with stakeholders deepening everyone’s understanding of needs in both directions.
  • Champion the customer perspective by providing feedback, suggesting improvements, and keeping the customer front of mind.
  • Responsible for articulation and resolution of risks and issues relating to your product.
  • Drive strong service governance, developing an environment of solution-focused activity and championing improvement strategies for poorer-performing areas.
  • People management, fostering Product Leads and Application Specialists.

  • Solid, proven experience in a Product Manager or similar type role, ideally within a large, complex environment.
  • The ability to build relationships with internal customers, vendors and partners.
  • A deep interest in technology and how to make it work for people.
  • Ability to communicate with engineers and architects to allow for effective creation of feature delivery and associated success criteria.
  • Solid understanding of User-research techniques, ideally using Jobs-To-Be-Done framework.
  • Ability to think strategically and at a detailed level to cope with business and technology complexity.
