Job Responsibilities
- Ensures quality checks are carried out for all garments and reports any damages or discrepancies to the Laundry Supervisor or Laundry Manager.
- Should know how to use steam and hot press machines, washing machines, and dryers.
- Prioritizes and marks garments for dry-cleaning and laundering.
- Completes all orders as requested and prepares orders for delivery.
- Aids in effective communication within the Laundry/Valet department.
- Generates billing for guest laundering and dry cleaning services.
- Aids in sorting laundry and records count in uniform daily forms.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Ensures all garments being pressed are in proper condition.
- Ensures broken zippers and missing buttons are replaced.
- Works as part of a team and communicates with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
- Basic reading and writing skills in English; good communication skills.
- Daily rotation of duties consists of operation of washers, dryers, towel folders, preparation of linen cages, and delivering linens to the floors.
