A leading multi-national automotive company in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) is searching for a:DEPUTY CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)Position Overview:The Deputy CFO will support the CFO in overseeing the financial operations of the Group operating across the GCC region in multiple business verticals.The Deputy CFO will be responsible for ensuring financial efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial leadership while providing guidance to local finance teams and working with senior leadership to drive business growth.Key Responsibilities:Financial Leadership & Strategy:Assist the CFO in developing and implementing the financial strategy, aligning with business objectives across the GCC region.Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with regional growth and profitability targets.Provide actionable financial insights and strategic advice to senior leadership, contributing to decision-making at a business level.Planning funds requirement and work with businesses to manage the overall working capital efficiently and managing finance costs.Oversee timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations across the GCC countries.Ensure all financial statements, filings, and reports comply with regional regulatory requirements.Monitor and evaluate financial performance, reporting on variances and suggesting corrective actions as compared to the Budgets.Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring that appropriate internal controls and procedures are in place.Ensure robust financial governance to mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.Support treasury functions, manage liquidity, and optimize working capital.Lead and mentor the finance teams across multiple countries, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with corporate financial policies.Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.Provide coaching and development to the finance team, supporting their professional growth.System Expertise & Financial Systems:Utilize ERP and other system tools to enhance financial processes, ensure data accuracy, and drive efficiency in financial operations.Lead the optimization of resources and other financial systems, ensuring smooth integration across regions.Provide guidance on financial systems enhancements and ensure alignment with global finance strategies in line with latest system tools in the industry.Business Partnering & Strategic Insights:Collaborate with various functional leaders (Operations, HR, Sales, etc.) to support strategic initiatives and drive business performance.Evaluate capital investment projects, providing detailed financial analysis and ROI assessments.Act as a business partner to the senior management team, offering financial insights to support business decisions.Tax Planning & Compliance:Oversee tax compliance and planning strategies, ensuring adherence to local tax regulations and optimizing tax efficiencies.Work with external tax advisors to implement tax structures that support the organization's financial objectives and ensure compliance.Investor Relations & Stakeholder Management:Support the CFO in managing relationships with banks, and other stakeholders.Provide financial insights and reports to shareholders, ensuring transparency and confidence in the organization's financial performance.Required Qualifications:Education: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).Experience: This role requires a qualified accountant with post qualification experience of 15 to 18 years and at least 5-6 years experience in a similar capacity within a large, multi-national organization.Skills:Industry preference: Auto, Auto Ancillaries, Auto Components, Manufacturing, Machinery.Strong expertise in financial management, reporting, and compliance with IFRS and local standards, fund Raising from Financial & Non-Financial Institutions, Treasury.In-depth knowledge of risk management, financial analysis, and internal controls.Proficiency in SAP financial modules; familiarity with other ERP systems is a plus.Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.Knowledge of tax laws and regulations across GCC countries.Fluency in English is essential.
