Parsons Brinckerhoff has been appointed as a programme management consultant to work on the new Makkah Public Transport Program (MPTP), which will include the new metro line and a major bus network. The public transport program in Makkah is a plan for an integrated system which covers all means of public transport (metro lines, express bus lines, local buses, and shuttle buses). The project in Makkah includes a network of trains consisting of four metro lines, with total lengths of 114 km and 62 stations. In addition, the project includes a network of bus transport that covers the city of Makkah in four different levels, including Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Local Bus, Feeder Bus Service, and Shuttle Bus that connect the parks (Park and Ride) and Al-Masjid Al-Haram, train stations, and express buses. This project holds great importance beyond the extensive technical requirements. With its prominent location in the Holy City of Makkah, this project holds strong cultural implications and will fundamentally change the travelling experience of the local population and the millions of visitors. Once completed, this program of work will leave a legacy for generations to come. Due to this, we are currently looking to recruit a number of Tender Production & Administration specialists to join our team in Jeddah.

Responsibilities

  1. Compiling, formatting, editing and administering the client’s approval process for the creation of EOIs, RFQs and RFPs.
  2. Liaising with technical resources/3rd parties to ensure high quality submissions that will enable PMCMs, Contractors, and Consultants to respond to RFPs accurately.
  3. Administering and documenting the tender queries liaising with client, technical teams and 3rd parties to ensure quick responses.
This role will be part of an exciting project and represents an exceptional challenge. It is essential that you have a track record in being involved in significant projects.

Required Skills

  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering or similar.
  2. Tender production and administration experience.
  3. FIDIC Experience is a must.
  4. 10 years similar experience either within a client or consultant environment.
  5. Major infrastructure experience preferably rail/metro/underground projects.
  6. Professional Qualification such as CICES, RICS etc.
  7. Rail experience preferred but not essential.
  8. Middle East experience would be an advantage.
