Production Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

• Establish and follow up on the execution of maintenance plans for production machines.
• Develop SOPs for production machines and modify them if required.
• Follow up on the execution of preventive maintenance records and ensure their signing.
• Coordinate with external workshops for maintenance of parts, manufacturing new parts, and procuring spare parts.
• Participate in any required installation of electro-mechanical works for new extensions (such as machine installation, providing layouts, and contributing to URS of new machines).
• Monitor the performance of production technicians or employees in other departments operating machines and interfere in case of faults.
• Conduct periodic meetings with technicians to ensure their commitment to assigned tasks.
• Deliver decisions and instructions from the Engineering manager to technicians regarding safety and environmental concerns.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and other departmental regulations.
• Work on reducing power consumption and provide suggestions for improvement.
• Coordinate with machine agents to address issues or procure new machines or external machine parts.
• Participate in documenting newly delivered machines or equipment (including IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Solve technical problems in the production area (electrical, mechanical), analyze data, make decisions to eliminate errors, and provide reports to the engineering manager.
• Develop KPIs for machines and technicians and train technicians on SOPs, Maintenance Plans, and Maintenance records.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industries (solid dosage form).
• Implementation of preventive maintenance plans & SOPs.
• Very good knowledge of solid machine principles.
• Development of machine performance.
• Creation of SOPs for machine maintenance.
• The ability to solve problems quickly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
