We are looking for an Overhead Crane Technician with min3- 5yrs experience to join our dynamic team in Cape Town - Rivergate - LMI is a major plus.

Job Specification

Install, assemble, service, overhaul, repair and load test overhead cranes, hoists and other lifting machines and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

Build Electrical panels for all Cranes.

Conduct routine service inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues or malfunctions.

Perform repairs and troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of overhead cranes.

Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of prescribed personal protective equipment.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, maintenance and repair logs.

Carry out ad-hoc tasks as and where necessary per request from the Employer.

Experience and Qualifications

Sound mechanical and electrical knowledge, including troubleshooting and repair.

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to overhead crane operations.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.

Must be able to work unsupervised.

LMI Certified.

At least 3-5-years traceable experience.

Able to work outside normal working hours from time to time and work under pressure.

Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Able to climb ladders, working at heights and confined spaces.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Valid driver’s license
