District Sales Manager (Solapur, Maharashtra, India)

This is a great opportunity for talented people who can develop as an District Sales Manager who will have the mission to oversee sales operations in Solapur, Maharashtra . The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating sales activities with wholesalers, developing the sales network, managing inventory, and ensuring effective execution of liquidation plans. Additionally, the Sales Manager will analyse competitors' products to identify features, benefits, shortfalls, and market success. The District Sales Manager reports to the State Sales Manager. WHAT YOU’LL DO Sales Coordination with Wholesalers :

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers in the designated territory.
• Coordinate sales activities and strategies to ensure effective product distribution.
• Monitor wholesalers' performance and provide support to achieve sales targets.

• Identify and onboard new wholesalers to expand the sales network within the territory.
• Foster strong business relationships with existing and potential partners.
• Implement strategies to enhance the reach and penetration of the company’s products.

• Ensure timely collection of payments from wholesalers.
• Monitor outstanding accounts and take necessary actions to minimize overdue payments.
• Maintain accurate records of collections and report on the status regularly.

• Oversee inventory levels at wholesalers' warehouses to ensure optimal stock availability. Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage stock replenishment.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.

• Work with field assistants to implement the liquidation plan effectively.
• Monitor the progress and success of the liquidation activities.
• Adjust strategies as needed to ensure the timely clearance of stock.

• Analyse competitors' products to understand their features, benefits, and market performance.
• Identify product shortfalls and opportunities for improvement.
• Use competitor insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy.
• Fluent in Marathi and Hindi. Professional level of communication skills in English (speak-write-read), adequate for professional execution of the job in a global organizaton. Additional other local languages will be a plus.
• Well-skilled in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook.
• The candidate must have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing successful sales networks. They should demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills, along with excellent communicaton and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis and strategic decision-making is essental, as is familiarity with inventory management and financial collection processes.
