We are currently seeking an Architect (Cruise Ships & Yachts) , reporting directly to the Project Director to join our project team based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This is an opportunity for US or Canadian nationals and is an Expat assignment in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will need to have a passport and qualify for a Saudi work visa. About the Job
- A highly experienced architect with a strong background in cruise ship and yacht design.
- Extensive knowledge of maritime regulations, interiors, and the unique aspects of ship building methodologies.
- Proficiency in integrating complex systems, optimizing space, while creating attractive and functional layouts and volumes.
- Experience in working closely with shipbuilders and naval engineers is essential.
- Minimum of MSc/MEng/MBA qualified in the stated discipline
- Chartered surveyor and Member of the relevant institution (e.g. RICS/ICE)
- Proficiency in integrating complex systems, optimizing space, while creating attractive and functional layouts and volumes.
- Depending on experience, responsible for planning and managing the delivery of the surveying elements of the project (including resource time and cost), either alone or through multi discipline project teams
- Capable of working on their own initiative (with minimal supervision)
- Knowledge of interior and exterior architectural design and engineering.
- English, Fluent
- Experience as PMC
- Experience in KSA or Middle-East with renowned clients
- Infrastructures project experience would be an advantage
