GIS Developer

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Must have a Master's Degree or higher related to GIS.
2. Must be certified Remote Sensing Solution Developer.
3. Must be certified Solution Developer Level 2 or 3.
4. Must be certified in Satellite Images Terrain Analysis.
5. Must be certified in Satellite Images Subsetting and Mosaicking.
6. Must be certified in Satellite Images Enhancement.
7. Must be certified Remote Sensing Specialist.
8. Must be certified MPSI.
9. Must be certified Esri.

1. At least 15 years of experience as a GIS developer, developing using Esri based products.
2. Esri certified in any of the available Esri certifications.
3. Proven solid understanding of RDBMS systems (SQL Server is required).
4. Deep understanding of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Enterprise Geodatabase and other ArcGIS Apps.
5. Sound knowledge of ArcGIS Model Builder and Python.
6. Sound knowledge of ArcGIS RESTful APIs.
7. Developing GIS applications with good experience in Esri products, tools & case tool utility.
8. Expert in Web-applications & Web-services Development using various programming tools including VS.NET, ADO, JS Scripting, JQuery, JSON, VB script, Java, HTML & Python.
9. Sound knowledge in PC, Mainframe, Servers, LAN, WAN, Virtualization, internet and Intranet environment. Familiar with Microsoft and Unix OS.
10. Demonstrated experience configuring and customizing the ArcGIS Desktop user tools, commands, and user interface using programming languages, APIs and techniques supported by Esri.
11. English and Arabic fluency is a must.

1. Provide supervision and consultation through all phases of GIS project development.
2. Prepare and submit weekly reports to the Project Manager.
3. Responsible for the design, creation, and maintenance of custom web GIS mapping.
4. Responsible for design, coding, implementation, and support of the Esri geospatial software applications.
5. Designing, developing, integrating and maintaining web-based GIS applications.
6. Assisting with configuring and maintaining GIS systems, applications and the GIS database.
7. Ability to gather, define, and document requirements in highly dynamic environments.
8. Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
9. Developing GIS applications and managing development projects.
10. Setting and improving development standards.
11. Evaluating tools and packages.
12. Actively supporting Urban Planning projects for different Departments and different Government organizations. Working with planners, engineers, and senior managers on their GIS needs and inquiries.
13. Web-applications & Web-services design & implementation using various programming tools including VS.NET, ADO, JS Scripting, VB script, Java, HTML.
14. Support local staff to improve their skills and expertise in GIS.
