Shift Chemist

Job Title: Shift Chemist Location: UAE Client: Upcoming cement manufacturer Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct analysis of in-process and raw materials using the X-ray analyzer, as well as perform chemical analysis for Free Lime and SO3 when required, and report the results to the Central Control Room Operator.
• Take prompt action to ensure the product quality remains within the specified standards.
• Collect samples from in-process materials up to dispatch.
• Ensure proper identification and preservation of samples for daily analysis.
• Properly label and store samples for future analysis.
• Prepare samples for X-ray analysis.
• Perform physical tests on materials, such as Blaine, whiteness, and liter weight.
• Maintain records of analyses and promptly report results to the Control Room Operator.
• Report deviations to the Shift Manager or Quality Control Engineer.
• Conduct chemical analyses, including free lime, SO3, and iron, as required.
• Ensure the highest level of accuracy in all analyses.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including furnaces, heaters, Blaine apparatus, etc.
• Adhere to the Quality Management System in all tasks.
• Provide shift activity reports to the Quality Control Manager at the end of the shift or as needed.
• Ensure a proper handover to the relieving personnel.
• Perform various tasks assigned by the Quality Control Engineer/Manager.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the work area; keep the area clean, neat, and organized, as individual responsibility.
