Systems Engineer
Detalhes do emprego
Thales people architect solutions that are relied upon to deliver operational advantage at every decisive moment throughout the mission. Defence and armed forces customers rely on us to deliver the full range of defensive systems for land, sea, and air. From early warning, to threat neutralisation, our platforms cover all levels from very short-range systems, to extended protection across the entire battle-space including Airspace Mobility Solutions, Vehicles and Tactical Systems and Missile Defence, Optronics, and Radar. Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer within Thales OME based in Glasgow. As a Systems Engineer you will be able to work autonomously to contribute towards the systems engineering design activities throughout the engineering project involving:
- Definition of Systems Requirements for the product
- Creation of design documentation capturing the systems engineering design
- Definition of the internal and external interfaces of the system
- Functional definition of system behaviour
- Development of test procedures to support the verification of the system
- Carrying out integration and verification testing against test procedures
- Conducting activities to gather evidence that the systems requirements have been achieved
- Supporting the wider engineering team by sharing knowledge
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary design team
- Defining systems interfaces, boundaries and other external factors that would impact on design Requirements Engineering (elicitation, decomposition and analysis)
- Analysing the operational concepts of a system
- Experience of the decomposition of a systems design to sub-system level
- Experience or knowledge of systems modelling techniques
- Experience of analysing potential solutions against the key needs in a design brief
- Experience of using design analysis techniques (trade-off analysis, calculations, modelling and simulation, etc.)
