We are seeking a Finance Supervisor to support our growing finance function and oversee a team of two finance assistants. As a Finance Supervisor, you will:
- Lead and oversee a team of two finance assistants, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable and ensure the timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Handle escalated client billing, credit control, and Client payment issues.
- Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including payroll, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers (accounts payable and receivable).
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a finance team.
- Previous experience in both accounts payable and receivable
- Proficiency in SAGE 50 Accounts is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger systems and financial reconciliation processes.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Relevant finance qualifications (e.g., AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
