Location: Queensland Health Redland Hospital, Weippin Street, Cleveland QLD, Australia Position: Part time Kempsey Maternity: A Level 3 unit with over 100 years of service to Kempsey and the Macleay Valley, is seeking suitably qualified and experienced GP Obstetricians to join its dedicated team. Nestled between the hills and the sea on the picturesque Macleay River, Kempsey is conveniently located between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour, offering access to stunning beaches and a relaxed lifestyle. The town has a population of approximately 28,000 and boasts several quality public and private schools. The maternity unit manages around 250 births annually. Successful candidates will provide VMO (GP-style) Obstetric and Gynaecological services at Kempsey Hospital, working collaboratively with a skilled multidisciplinary team. The role includes antenatal and postnatal care, delivered through one of several GP practices and/or the hospital’s antenatal clinic. Candidates must be prepared to participate in an on-call roster, providing emergency obstetric care.
