A mainstay of the Animal Health industry for over 70 years in New Zealand, their Wellington site is currently going through a major expansion project to significantly increase the capacity of their facility in order to continue to supply sterile bacterial vaccines for the global market. On top of this capital commitment, there are more than NZ$50M of existing capital improvement projects ready to go. About the Role Reporting to the Site Project Manager, these are contract project or process engineer positions running on a rolling 12 month contract (working as a contractor) to support the multiple capital projects approved and ongoing for the manufacturing facility. Depending on your background, we are happy to discuss the focus of the contract to be either:
- Project Engineer: The role will oversee all aspects of each project allocated including being the technical lead for those capital projects. Capital Projects can cover, but are not limited to, Process, Electrical, Automation or construction type projects. The PE ensures the project is developing or improving plant uptime and meeting all legislative, GMP and other compliance standards are achieved and that company assets are maximized.
- Process Engineer: The Process Engineer (PE) will be primarily responsible for developing and supporting solutions for the different phases of multiple Business as Usual (BAU) projects; from project inception through to providing input and support during the construction and commissioning phases. The PE will work closely with the end user, equipment owner, and other relevant key stakeholders to develop fit for purpose solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience in project or process engineering in process manufacturing sectors such as pharmaceutical, food, dairy, pulp & paper, brewing, petrochemical.
- Proven project management experience.
- Hands-on project experience.
- Able to communicate cross-functionally.
- Proven ability to meet timelines and work within capital budgets.
- Knowledge and appreciation of quality and regulatory requirements.
