Our Platform Engineers manage our infrastructure, environments, and tooling to enable developers to develop, testers to test and customers to use our services. Automation is at the heart of everything we do, providing speed, reliability, and consistency across the entire platform. About the role As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be providing hands-on capability to build, operate and ensure our platforms are highly available, resilient, and performant for our customers and internal technology teams. Key responsibilities: · Maintaining and developing the infrastructure and operational function at Cloudhouse. · Build out alerting and monitoring capabilities. · Look for opportunities to improve developer efficiency and effectiveness when it comes to deployments and insights · Work closely with the engineering leadership in building highly available, secure, scalable infrastructure · Build, implement, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines · Identify and prioritise the key problems and bottlenecks within our platforms · Improve our cost efficiency, resource allocation and performance About you · You enjoy problem solving · You value collaboration and communication in your way of working · You like to share knowledge and maintain documentation on the systems you build · Eager to learn new technology and processes · Passionate about being part of a team that builds quality into our product from the very beginning and actively prevents defects rather than getting satisfaction from finding them Mandatory Skills · Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure) Understanding of core cloud services (Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, Serverless)· Proficiency in a scripting language · Good grasp of Unix operating systems · Basic system administration skills · Expertise in modular or reusable IaC practices terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi · Understanding VPC, subnets, DNS, firewalls and load balancers · Familiarity with monitoring tooling CloudWatch, Grafana or Prometheus · Understanding of version control Git, Cloning, Branching, Pull Requests · Knowledge of IAM or Azure Entra ID · Experience with secrets management Desirable Competencies · Containerisation · Service mesh and API gateways · Familiar with lambda, cloud functions, azure functions · Policy as Code · Database management · SDLC knowledge Benefits
