Your new role Our client, a well-established homebuilder near the Barrie area is seeking a full-time OAA Architect or BCIN Designer to join their team as the Manager of Design and Permits to work on the design & production of a low-rise townhomes and SFH. Reporting directly into the President, you will work alongside an experienced team of design, construction and sales professionals, while controlling the design and development of projects from start to finish. You will develop blackline drawings for sales and marketing purposes, prepare concepts, working and permit drawings, and coordinate grading and plot plans with full architectural packages. You will also play a key role in the coordination of permits with municipal officials. What you'll need to succeed As the Manager of Design and Permits, you will need a minimum of 5 years of experience in all aspects of working & permits drawings for low-rise townhome and SFH projects. A valid BCIN or OAA License is required as you will be required to stamp/sign off on projects . Proficiency in Ontario Building Code (mainly parts 3 and 9, with emphasis on part 3) with minimum 3-5 years of hands on experience is essential. Ability to work with AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office is mandatory. Must have excellent communication skills with clients, consultants and municipality officials. This role is based 100% in the head office around the Barrie area. What you'll get in return The compensation package is commensurate with experience but includes a competitive salary, between $70k-$100k, 3 weeks' of vacation, extended health and dental benefits, and an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the further development and establishment of their internal design team.
