Senior Engineer – Electron Avionics Development

Our engineering team members span design, analysis, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, assembly and integration, quality control, engineering documentation, and more. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: As the Senior Avionics Development Engineer, you'll be a key figure in our engineering team, leading the design and testing of Avionics components for the Electron launch vehicle. Your role involves expert-level electronic circuit and PCB design, ensuring mission-critical and safety-critical systems meet aviation standards. From pioneering test systems to production-ready avionics, you'll drive development from concept to implementation, including software and custom electronics. YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other engineering
- 5+ years of experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering
- Experience designing hardware from concept through to implementation
- Understanding of electronic circuits, design principles, and SMT manufacturing
- Understanding and experience in environmental design testing, such as vibration, shock, thermal, and TVAC
- Understanding of interfaces and sensors including power supplies, oscilloscopes, serial devices, and instrumentation
- Excellent communication both written and verbal, including creating material for distribution to external parties
- Altium user to intermediate or higher status
- NX, SolidWorks or other 3D CAD
- Demonstrated experience working in fast-paced environments
- Programming experience in Python, C/C++
