About the Role Are you a natural leader with a passion for social media and a track record of managing successful campaigns? At Lion & Lion, we’re looking for a Social Media Team Lead who excels in strategy, leadership, and execution. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to drive new business pitches, and staying on top of the latest social trends in Malaysia, including influencer movements and topical conversations. As the Social Media Team Lead, you’ll lead a team to deliver impactful campaigns while managing multiple streams of work with precision and creativity.   What You’ll Do

  • Lead and Support : Manage and guide the social media team (strategists and executives), ensuring quality outputs and building a positive team environment.
  • Strategic Development : Craft and oversee integrated social media strategies that align with client goals, drive business results, and elevate brand presence.
  • Client Partnership : Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing actionable insights, innovative ideas, and tailored strategies to meet their objectives.
  • Trend Tracking and Insights : Stay ahead of social media trends, influencer movements, and topical conversations in Malaysia to create relevant and engaging campaigns.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making : Use analytics and social listening tools to shape strategies, track performance, and continuously optimize campaigns.
  • End-to-End Campaign Management : Oversee the full campaign lifecycle, from ideation and planning to execution and reporting, ensuring budgets, timelines, and KPIs are met.
  • Content Excellence : Guide the creation of platform-specific, visually compelling content that resonates with target audiences and drives engagement.
  • Influencer Marketing : Guide the team in building and maintaining influencer relationships, facilitating clear communication and decision-making to ensure campaigns align with objectives and deliver measurable results.
  • New Business Development : Support and lead new business pitches, providing strategic insights and creative solutions that win clients.

  • Proven Leadership : At least 6–7+ years of experience in social media management with a strong track record of managing teams and delivering results in an agency or fast-paced environment.

  • Social Media Expert : Deep understanding of platform algorithms, social media trends, influencer marketing, and advertising strategies.

  • Malaysia-Specific Knowledge : You’re well-versed in the Malaysian social landscape, including key trends, cultural nuances, and influencer dynamics.
