Celebrating Long Service provides an opportunity for the business to demonstrate their appreciation of the hard work, dedication and many years' service of our employees at 5 year service milestones Commitment to continued professional development: Development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests Global connections: Join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Energy Transition Academy: Join a community of experts sharing your knowledge and gaining more exposure to a variety of existing and emerging energy systems - delivered by experts in their fieldRESPONSIBILITIESTo lead the team of Engineers and DesignersResponsible for the design and approval of all electrical work on assigned projectsEnsure that detail design methods, standards and data used on assigned projects meet the Client's requirementsParticipate in project scheduling and project review activitiesCarry out calculations & studies required to finalize electrical equipment specificationsPrepare material requisitions and technical bid evaluations for electrical equipment on assigned projectsAssists the designers for the preparation of electrical drawings such as SLDs, Protection & Control schematics and layout drawings.Review vendor's document to ensure equipment vendors provide timely and quality input into design packagesReview all third-party discipline design workUnderstand the contract quality management system and ensure these requirements are metActively communicate with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface, during the design development, review and check processesProficient in the use of ETAP, Navisworks, Lighting calculation Software (Dialux etc.) and MS- OFFICESet up and maintain electrical databases on assigned projectsCarry out electrical engineering work as required by the lead electrical engineer in accordance with the agreed project scheduleAttend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT's) for electrical equipment (or equipment with significant electrical content) on assigned projectsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing team of Engineers and designersOffshore experience is must, whilst ADNOC experience is desiredFully coherent in all international codes and standardsExcellent command of both spoken and written English is requiredEnthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn / Flexible with a can-do attitudeWorking hands on Experience on SPELMust have working knowledge and experience of electrical discipline relevant offshore/onshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practicesPrevious experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantageABOUT USWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
