JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Director will play a crucial role in expanding the slab sales business in North America , overseeing the business development with the Kitchen & Bath retailers, key high-end Interior Designers, and other related retail outlets along with commercial channels including facades, millwork etc. The ideal candidate should have several years of experience in the slab sales segment, dealing with retailers, high-end Interior Designers, fabricators and builders across United States and Canada. You are organized, attentive to details, and are passionate about customer service and building business relationships. You are enthusiastic about Laminam products and the slab category. You are an excellent communicator and presenter, using your influence and persuasion to convert sales. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist the President/CEO in selecting and recruiting local account managers across Canada and USA. · Provide leadership and training to the Account Manager and Commercial team. · Develop, cultivate, and grow Laminam’s product awareness, acceptance, and sales to the Kitchen & Bath segment and high-end Interior Designers, on a national and local levels. · Create short- and long-term sales plan on the territory to penetrate the market and generate specifications and sales of Laminam slabs. · Learn in-depth knowledge and expertise on all Laminam products and technical aspects, to become a resource and brand ambassador to the K&B community and their support network (such as fabricators). · Perform multiple joint sales calls/meetings daily, including cold-calling prospect new clients. · Conduct joint regular formal product presentations (including Lunch & Learns, CEUs) to K&B dealers, designers, and targeted organizations, to promote the products and applications, using corporate presentation tools. · Organize Laminam events to the K&B and Design communities, such as to NKBA chapters, to promote the Laminam brand, increasing loyalty and brand recognition, and solidifying Laminam’s position as preferred brand in the market. · Attend and represent the Laminam brand on local and national industry events, such as NKBA events, IIDA, Industry related Trade Shows. · Actively update CRM database (Salesforce) with accounts, leads, registering meetings and sales calls, projects management, samples provided to the market, display placements and other CRM tools available in the system. · Manage Laminam’s merchandising tools and marketing budget, to ensure market is properly equipment with samples and displays to promote sales. This includes customer’s samples library and displays, installing Laminam Towers and counter displays at retailers, fulfilling clients sample inventory at retailers as required. · Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and issues in a professional and timely manner. REQUIREMENTS: · The ideal candidate should reside in the Toronto Region (Canada)· Minimum of five years of experience working directly with the K&B sector and Interior Design communities. · Thorough understanding of residential specification and finish schedule writing · College degree or higher preferred · Working knowledge of required software programs (Microsoft Office Suit, CRM SalesForce)· Excellent communication, listening and public speaking skills · Effective training and motivational skills · Effective time management skills · High sales aptitude, self-motivated · Ability to analyze situation and identify opportunities for success · Effective decision making and problem-solving skills · Effective team interaction skills with high aptitude for collaboration with colleagues · Valid driver's license · Ability to travel, work evenings & weekends when necessary Compensation : Industry competitive base salary plus performance incentive plan.
