The Member Engagement and Events Specialist , supports AWCBC’s Strategic Committees, ensuring their efforts align with organizational goals, while coordinating events like symposiums and webinars to foster connections and advance the mission. - Build strong relationships with members, ensuring they feel supported and informed.
- Onboard new members by introducing them to AWCBC’s resources and opportunities.
- Regularly survey members to understand their evolving needs and adapt our offerings accordingly.
- Maintain accurate member contact information and ensure seamless communication.
- Act as the primary contact for Strategic Committees, supporting their meetings, agendas, and work plans.
- Ensure committees adhere to their mandates, term limits, and succession plans.
- Promote committee initiatives to enhance their visibility and impact.
- Plan and execute impactful events such as webinars, learning symposiums, and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with the CEO to secure dynamic speakers for meetings and events.
- Work closely with external vendors and partners to ensure event success.
- A university or college degree, or equivalent experience in stakeholder relations, project management, or event coordination.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in event planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Diplomacy, confidentiality, and the ability to liaise with senior management.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of Canada’s workers’ compensation system is an asset.
