Our Revenue Development Team: Our revenue development team is made up of talented fundraising professionals across Canada, in the areas of major giving, planned giving, events and annual giving, who work closely with our community of generous loyal donors to turn shared visions, passions and interests into meaningful impact in fighting the fire of arthritis. We are a nationwide charity with local impact, and donations from these individuals make a difference for people living with arthritis in every province. Purpose of Role: Reporting to the Director, Signature Events, and working as part of the nationwide revenue development team with an Ontario-based focus, this event professional will play an integral role in our organization’s growth through donor engagement in support of our annual events and cultivation activities. Key Accountabilities:
- Work alongside Director, Signature Events to plan, coordinate and execute the Ontario region’s fundraising events, with a primary focus on our signature events: Fashion on Fire, Fire Ball and All-In for Arthritis.
- Acts as volunteer lead for and at all events
- Responsible for managing and soliciting GIK: gift bag items, silent auction and live auction, general event swag etc.
- Work on soliciting new third-party events, while maintaining and stewarding existing third-party event relationships to grow the portfolio year-over-year.
- Organizes and attends all event committee meetings to support Chairs and Director, Signature Events: books meetings; prepares catering requisitions; a/v; meeting materials and reminders.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in event execution and fundraising.
- Driven, energetic, self-motivated, results-oriented, detail oriented, creative and passionate.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver excellent, timely customer service.
- Strong level of comfort and experience with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge experience preferred) and Microsoft Office. Experience with Givergy or other silent auction related platforms, and Canva, an asset.
- Bilingual (English and French) language skills an asset.
