Coastal RV (QLD) has been part of the Sunshine Coast for many years and is currently undergoing some changes to the business. We specialise in a wide range of RV repairs, services, and refurbishments for private, warranty and insurance clients. Our team ensures vehicles are restored to the highest safety and quality standards. About the Role The business was bought in 2024 as an expansion to an existing RV component manufacturing business (based in Ipswich). This has opened a new position for a General Manager to take over and move Coastal RV (Qld) forward. There are several expansion projects planned for 2025 that require oversight and managing. They consist of expansion of the current product lines, systems and productivity improvements and the development of new major product lines, which will require an innovative marketing strategy being developed. We are seeking an experienced General Manager with business development skills to lead Hanith RV Solutions (Coastal RV) to the next level. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations, motivate a small team, oversee projects, sales and uphold high standards of repair quality and safety. Your leadership will be essential in driving operational success and keeping exceptional customer satisfaction. This will be a hit the ground running scenario, as some of these projects have already started and other projects are planned for commencement shortly. This is a new role with scope and flexibility for someone to really make this their own. This will be an exciting year with the right person in place and leading the way! Key Responsibilities The General Manager's Key Responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the business, including day-to-day operations, strategic planning, financial performance, staff management and ensuring the achievement of business goals by leading employees across different areas, whilst keeping customer satisfaction. Key Factors: Customer Focus: Ensure excellent customer service, address customer concerns, and build positive relationships with customers. Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on data analysis and industry trends to address challenges and opportunities. Financial Performance: Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, analyse financial data, and make necessary adjustments to maximise profitability. Operational Management: Collaborate with the operations employees to ensure efficiency, quality standards and compliance with company policies. Organisational Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of current processes and team dynamics to identify root causes of inefficiencies and interpersonal conflicts. Process Optimisation: Analyse current operations, processes, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, then develop strategies to streamline operations and reduce costs. Project Management: Lead and manage programs and projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and on budget. Reporting & Communication: Provide regular, detailed reports on business performance, KPI metrics, and market trends to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for continuous growth. Sales and Marketing Oversight: Oversee sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue generation and to achieve sales targets. Manage/oversee all digital and social media platforms. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with company goals, including market analysis, growth strategies and budget allocation. Collaborate with owners to redefine the business plan to meet deliverables and milestones. System Integration: Evaluate and improve existing systems and software used by teams to ensure they are scalable and integrated smoothly, supporting efficient workflow and data consistency. Team Leadership & Performance Management: Recruit, hire, train, develop and motivate a high-performing team across the business. Set clear goals, track progress, evaluate employee performance and provide feedback. Redefine performance metrics and evaluation processes to encourage teamwork, accountability, and managerial effectiveness, leaving room for shaping or reshaping as needed. Compliance: Ensure the business runs within all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Monitor and actively engage in preventative Health and Safety management and compliance, communicating expectations and leading by example. What we are looking for Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar management role. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions. Exceptional communication and people skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, challenging environment. Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics. Proven experience in account management. Computer Skills – Digital media and social platforms experience, advanced Microsoft & Xero. Mechanic Desk and Workshop Software training will be given. Experience in business development. Marketing experience with social media platforms. Master’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field. Previous experience in the Caravan or RV sector is highly regarded. Passion for the outdoor lifestyle and a deep understanding of the offroad caravans’ market.
