The opportunity Are you a structural engineer looking for the opportunity to get out in the field and gain more hands-on experience? Join our structural engineering team as our Preconstruction Engineer. We offer a dynamic role with hands-on experience, excellent career development opportunities, involvement in exciting Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) projects, design of temporary works when required, and flexible working hours. Your responsibilities on projects will include:

• the design and supervision of significant temporary works and design management
• undertaking all standard project set-out surveying
• ensuring the work can be carried out by the project team
• ensuring that all deliverables are clearly agreed with the site team as scoped in the Service Agreement.

You will continually maintain familiarity with the construction drawings and ensure that the structural and architectural shop drawings are also consistent with the current design and specifications. You will also understand the BIM requirements so that you can communicate any changes required for the modeling process or design team. You will manage, coordinate, and monitor all activities of consultants and subcontractors with structural aspects to ensure that design coordination elements are met to suit project specifics.
