Head of Commercial Accounting

Purpose of the job Responsible for managing and running all the commercial accounting accounts activities including revenue accounting , retail accounting , commission calculation and controls, consignment, stock control, mobile Money Duties and responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Recommend policies and procedures to improve business practices.
• Implemented major cost controls and stricter processes,
• Leading all commercial accounting accounts activities including revenue accounting ,retail accounting , consignment, stock control, Mobile Money
• Responsible to fulfil periodic internal Audit requirement
• Responsible for the clearance of all external audit review for financial statement related to Revenue Cycle
• Responsible to assess new commercial proposition / contract to assure and confirm the accounting treatment and set controls to minimize financial risks
• Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial controls over commercial accounting cycle
• Responsible for Revenue share end to end accounting and reconciliation with partners
• Responsible for Managing direct/indirect commission calculation and payment
• Responsible for controls, reconciliation and accounting for Orange mobiles money services
• Responsible for Mobile interconnect reconciliation, invoicing and settlements

• Interview and select direct reports and validate hiring decisions for the department.
• Provide coaching and request needed training for direct reports ensuring continuous individual development.
• Ensure a healthy working environment for the department employees through focusing on team building and motivation initiatives.
• Conduct regular performance and competency evaluations for direct reports while delivering constant constructive feedback for higher achievements and further development.

1. Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
2. Masters degree in Business Administration / Accounting would be preferable

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Finance, 5 of which in an upper management Role.
• An operational experience in a Telecom company would be preferred.
